This Alloy 347 Plate is a stabilized, austenitic, chromium steel containing columbium that allows for the elimination of carbide precipitation, and, consequently, intergranular corrosion. These Alloy 347 Plate plates are stabilized by the additions of chromium and tantalum and offer higher creep and stress rupture properties.

Easy Welding – Alloy 347 Plate may be welded by all commonly used fusion and resistance methods. Oxyacetylene welding is not recommended. When necessary, use AWS E/ER347 filler metal. This Alloy 347 Plate material is stabilized against chromium carbide formation by the addition of columbium and tantalum.
